Readiness Checklists

NRCA provides checklists to help you determine your readiness to successfully complete the certification process and become an NRCA ProCertified™ Installer. The checklists include what you are expected to know and be able to do once you meet the required minimum amount of installation experience—18 months for asphalt shingle systems and 24 months for thermoplastic systems. Job task analysis

The subject matter of each ProCertification is contained in a Job Task Analysis document. The JTA is a foundational document from which the computer-based knowledge exam and hands-on performance exams are developed. This document is created by bringing together a group of roofing-industry experts to discuss and determine the knowledge, skills and abilities required of qualified installers of each respective roofing system. The process of conducting a JTA is an industry best practice and vital to ensuring certifications represent the industry at large.
