NRCA has adopted Rebuilding Together as its national charitable organization. Founded in 1988, Rebuilding Together is a
nonprofit, nonsectarian volunteer organization that rehabilitates the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the
elderly and disabled, and families with children. The organization's national headquarters are in Washington, D.C.;
there are more than 250 local programs throughout the United States.
After months of planning and preparation, Rebuilding Together with culminates in a National Rebuilding Day usually on
the last Saturday in April. Volunteers of all ages, faiths and backgrounds come together to repair and restore
thousands of homes across the United States.
On many occasions, homes are not selected for a Rebuilding Together program because the roof systems are in need of
major repairs and the local chapter can't afford the materials or obtain skilled volunteers to perform the work.
Rebuilding Together is thrilled to partner with NRCA, especially because there is a growing need for roofing work. By
joining a Rebuilding Together project, NRCA members and affiliate chapters can make a difference in the lives of others
and collectively help improve the roofing industry's image.
