ASTM International has issued a call for abstracts for its ASTM 11th Rossiter Roofing and Waterproofing Symposium, which will be held Dec. 5, 2027, in New Orleans.
The symposium provides a forum for contributing to the fundamental understanding of acceptable roof performance, with a primary emphasis on current research and development work. It will center on the influence of laboratory and field investigations in the development of standards for roofing and waterproofing materials and systems.
The symposium covers research and standards for low- and steep-slope roof systems and includes topics such as wind and fire resistance; air barriers and system integration; cool, green and solar roofing; thermal efficiency; roof coatings; durability; retrofit applications; and advances in waterproofing and adhesion technologies, among other topics.
To participate in the symposium, you must submit a 250- to 300-word preliminary abstract using the online Abstract Submission Portal by June 15. To ensure your abstract was received, email symposia@astm.org to confirm you have submitted an abstract.
