Beacon Roofing Supply Inc., Herndon, Va., is holding its annual Beacon of Hope contest, through which the company awards veteran homeowners new roofs.
The contest is open to all military veterans who received honorable or general discharges. Nine winners will be selected from throughout the U.S., and Beacon Roofing Supply—with local companies—will deliver and facilitate roof repairs or replacements for veteran contest winners at no cost to the recipients.
Through Oct. 7, the public can nominate a U.S. veteran by visiting the Beacon of Hope website. Nominations must include a photo of the veteran, three photos of the home and why the nominee deserves a new roof.
Winners will be announced in November.
