Spearheaded by the National Center for Construction Education and Research and its Build Your Future initiative, the 10th annual Careers in Construction Month will be held in October to raise awareness about career opportunities in construction and inspire the next generation of craft professionals, according to www.nccer.org.
Build Your Future provides various ways to get involved, including filing an official proclamation and submitting a video to the I BUILT THIS! video contest.
Build Your Future also is asking the construction industry to pledge its support and make a dedicated effort to connect with students. For signing the pledge, companies will be entered into a drawing to win one of four $5,000 scholarships given to the construction craft training program of their choice. Take the pledge.
