Based on the National Women in Roofing (NWIR) goals of mentoring, education, networking and recruitment, NWIR is offering a pilot program for scholarships for first-time attendees to NWIR Day, the 2019 International Roofing Expo® and NRCA's 132nd Annual Convention in Nashville, Tenn.
The program is designed to encourage first-time attendees who work for contractors to experience the benefits of professional development in the roofing industry; attendance at these events can influence one's career trajectory and benefit not just the attendee but her company and employer. The theme for NWIR Day is "Building Better Together," and the value of continued education, mentorship and network-building during these prominent events is well-documented.
Scholarship benefits include attendance at NWIR Day, NRCA's Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception, a pass to the trade show and a Super Pass to education sessions; hotel accommodations from Saturday, Feb. 9, through Tuesday, Feb. 12; roundtrip airfare; and a host/mentor assigned through the NWIR mentoring program.
