The Roofing Alliance has announced 10 teams for the 10th anniversary of its Construction Management Student Competition.
The Roofing Alliance’s student competition promotes careers in roofing industry management. In addition to providing a significant learning opportunity, the competition fosters an environment that will bring out the best in each team; encourage dialogue among the students; and foster team spirit as students rise to meet the challenge. It features teams of four college and university students testing their roofing, project management, estimating, safety, quality control and presentation skills.
The Roofing Alliance is pleased to announce the following 10 schools have indicated their intent to participate in the 10th annual student competition:
- Auburn University, Auburn, Ala.
- Bradley University, Peoria, Ill.
- California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
- Clemson University, Clemson, S.C.
- Colorado State University, Fort Collins
- Illinois State University, Normal
- Texas A&M University, College Station
- University of Arkansas at Little Rock
- University of Florida, Gainesville
- University of North Florida, Jacksonville
The teams will bid to install a roof system on the Formula 1 Paddock Building in Las Vegas. Competition judges will review the proposals, and finalist teams will be announced in January 2024. Finalist teams will present Feb. 7, 2024, during the International Roofing Expo® in Las Vegas. Winners will be announced that evening at NRCA’s Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception.
