Registration for Roofing Day in D.C. 2024 is open!
Join us April 16-17 in Washington, D.C., for the largest advocacy event dedicated solely to the roofing industry.
Each year, roofing professionals meet with members of Congress on Capitol Hill to discuss the critical issues facing their companies and the roofing industry. Our priority issues this year will focus on solutions to workforce shortages and pro-growth tax reform.
Roofing Day in D.C. features expert speakers and panelists to inform and inspire attendees ahead of meetings with members of Congress and their staffs. As always, attendees will have ample opportunity to network and connect with fellow professionals, and we encourage you to bring key employees to the event. To view our draft itinerary, book your hotel and register, visit www.nrca.net/roofingday.

Congressional leaders reach agreement regarding topline funding, but issues remain
Congressional leaders reached an agreement regarding a topline federal government funding level of $1.58 trillion for fiscal year 2024, consistent with the previously passed Fiscal Responsibility Act. Although this is a sizable breakthrough, there is still much disagreement regarding specific funding and policy riders within each appropriations bill as we near two funding expiration dates for a potential shutdown Jan. 19 and Feb. 2.
Department of Treasury issues final rule regarding beneficial ownership information reporting under the Corporate Transparency Act
On Dec. 21, the Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network issued a final rule that establishes the access to and protection of beneficial ownership information required under the Corporate Transparency Act. The Corporate Transparency Act requires certain small businesses to report ownership information to the government to catch money laundering and other criminal activities that may use “shell corporations.” NRCA has supported legislation to delay implementation until further guidance is provided about how this information will be used and secured, as well as the need to address the lack of public awareness regarding complying with this law. Noncompliance carries stiff penalties, including potential jail time. View more information about compliance.
