CNA and NRCA work together to honor charitable works by NRCA contractor members through the CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award.

The deadline for the 2023 CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award has passed. Thank you to all who applied!

2023 winners

CNA/NRCA First Place Award Winner

CNA and NRCA presented the 2023 CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award during the International Roofing Expo® at NRCA’s Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception in Dallas.

First place: Bliss Roofing Inc., Clackamas, Ore.

CNA awarded first-place winner Bliss Roofing Inc. with $7,500 to be presented to Metro Portland Housing Industry Foundation, d/b/a Home Builders Foundation. In addition, NRCA dedicated the $830 proceeds from its Cyber Monday sale in November 2022 to Metro Portland Housing Industry Foundation, d/b/a Home Builders Foundation.

Bliss Roofing participated in four projects supported by the Metro Portland Housing Industry Foundation, d/b/a Home Builders Foundation—a sleeping pod community for veterans, a home for girls escaping sex trafficking, a youth drop-in center and a family shelter—for vulnerable communities experiencing homelessness and housing instability.

CNA/NRCA Second Place Award Winner

Second place: Beck Roofing Corp., Norfolk, Va.

CNA awarded second-place winner Beck Roofing Corp. with $5,000 for its charitable efforts with ForKids.

Beck Roofing provided a full roof system replacement on a ForKids home. ForKids’ mission is to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for families and children. The organization currently helps more than 250 families, including 500 children, in 14 cities and counties in southeastern Virginia.

CNA/NRCA Third Place Award Winner

Third place: Dan Perkins Construction Inc., Ishpeming, Mich.

CNA awarded third-place winner Dan Perkins Construction Inc. with $2,500 for its charitable efforts with Bay Cliff Health Camp.

Dan Perkins Construction Inc. replaced the roof of the Arts and Crafts Building of the Bay Cliff Health Camp. The camp helps children ages 7-17 overcome handicaps and become more independent in a summer camp setting that is fun and challenging.

In addition, Foster Contracting Inc., Indianapolis, was the winner of the People’s Choice Award, which was selected by public voting on NRCA’s website. Foster Contracting received $1,500 for its work with Isaiah 117 House.
