Roof System Installer Certifications

Certification process

A roof system installer certification is earned when a candidate passes a computer-based knowledge exam and a hands-on performance exam.

Computer-based Knowledge Exam

The computer-based knowledge exam is a proctored, roof system-specific exam. An authorized roof system installer candidate has the option to schedule an exam appointment with one of Prometric's test centers or with ProProctor remote testing services.

Hands-on Performance Exam

The hands-on performance exam requires the roof system installer candidate to demonstrate installation skills and safety requirements as instructed in the roof system-specific exam assignment. The candidate schedules the exam directly with a Qualified Assessor to conduct the exam at a contractor's shop or an authorized testing location.
