Abstract
This testing program was designed to provide direct comparison ofnail withdrawal performance for 19/32" and 5/8" panels. The effect of nail type was also evaluated. The results indicate that 19/32" and 5/8" panels provide equivalent performance. Deformed shank nails, and in particular ring shank nails, outperformed smooth shank nails.
