Abstract
A new type of composite product has been developed for floor and roof sheathing. It consists of wood face and back veneer glued to a core of reconstituted wood. The structural performance in service of such sheathing is actualy limited by concentrated point loads, rather than uniform load. Since no test methods were generlaly recognized for concentrated load, it was found necessary to develop them. This report gives the background and rationale used in the development of test methods. Test results are given for both plywood and composite panels.
