Abstract
Typhoon Paka caused widespread damage to buildings, infrastructure and vegetation in December 1997. Its winds sustained velocities of 150 mph. Much of the damage could have been prevented or reduced if Facotry Mutual Research Corp standards had been followed. Listed are the major findings and recommendations
