A reader asks: My new low slope roof system was just completed, and after the first rain, there were a number of puddles on the roof for a whiile. All parties involved (architectd, contractor and manufacturer) are calling this "ponding water". There seem to be many definitions of ponding water . What is NRCA's definition? Also, what are the ramifications of ponding wter, is it acceptable, and how can it be avoided?
