Retrofitting a roof for high wind uplift

Abstract
In hurricane country and other high wind areas, it is critical that the homeowner understands the impact high wind forces can have on a roof system, and the preventative fastening techniques essential to maintaining a safe and long-lasting roof system. This technical note illustrates the effects of high winds on a roof, and provides three solutions the homeowner can ue to increae the roof's resistance to wind damage.
