This document is an aid for preparing a specification for modified bitumen roofig and for coordinating the section with other construction documents and drawings. It can be used for information and guidance with any master guide specficiation on this subject. This SpecGuide covers modified bitumen roofing systems intended for the primary waterproofing surface on low to medium sloped roof decks. It includes systems representing the three most common application methods: hot asphalt applied, heat-welded (torch-on), and self-adhering systems. This SpecGuide does not cover fluid-applied modified bitumen roofing systems.
