The 2022 International Roofing Expo® will be held Feb. 1-3 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, and the city of New Orleans has implemented COVID-19 rules that will affect the event, according to theroofingexpo.com.
New Orleans has reinstated an indoor mask mandate as of Jan. 12. Masks will be required in all indoor spaces, including the trade show floor and all its events, for all individuals regardless of vaccination status.
The city of New Orleans also requires proof of full vaccination (two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of Johnson & Johnson) or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours to access indoor dining, indoor fitness, and indoor entertainment spaces or performance spaces. This mandate also will apply to the IRE First-time Attendees Reception, IRE Welcome Party and other events taking place in conjunction with the show, such as the SRS Concert, NRCA’s Industry Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception, and NRCA’s Roofing Industry Fall Protection from A to Z and Foreman Leadership Training classes.
Starting Jan. 30, Informa will be providing COVID-19 testing at the convention center for anyone who is not fully vaccinated. There will be licensed nurses administering COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for $50 each. PCR testing will be available for international guests upon request. As a reminder, negative COVID-19 test results are only valid for 72 hours in New Orleans, and you may need to retest while you are at the IRE.
Following are details regarding on-site testing:

Sunday, Jan. 30, noon-5 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 31, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
