CDC offers information to keep workers healthy during flu season

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates one in 10 people in the U.S. will get the flu in a given season, according to cdc.gov. Although viruses can live year-round, flu activity tends to rise in October and peak between December and February.

With COVID-19 a factor during this year’s flu season, the CDC emphasizes the importance of taking precautions to prevent the flu from spreading in the workplace and provides tips for keeping workers safe, including recommending workers get vaccinated, encouraging workers to stay home when they are sick and educating workers regarding staying healthy.
