CPWR will offer webinars about falls, respiratory protection

CPWR—The Center for Construction Research and Training will hold two webinars—Identifying Common Root Causes of Falls from Heights, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. EST, and NIOSH Activities Supporting the Optimization of Respiratory Protection, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. EST.

CPWR and the ANSI Z359 Committee are working together to create and administer a new survey to collect detailed information about past fall incidents and their root causes. During Identifying Common Root Causes of Falls from Heights, which will include a Q&A, participants will learn about the background regarding the need for this type of qualitative data, as well as how it will inform the ANSI Z359 Committee’s development of standards and CPWR’s fall-prevention outreach efforts, among other topics. View more information and register for the webinar.

Understanding the differences between types of respirators and face coverings, how to wear them and when, and their effectiveness is critical. During NIOSH Activities Supporting the Optimization of Respiratory Protection, you will hear the latest from National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health’s National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory regarding NIOSH research related to respirators and face masks, what it means and how to use their findings. View more information and register for the webinar.
