There still is time to register for Roofing Day in D.C. 2023, which will be held April 18-19; the purpose of the event is to bring the roofing industry together to meet with members of Congress and their staffs and deliver the industry’s message with one voice. The registration deadline is April 5.
Professionals from all segments of the roofing industry will come to Washington, D.C., to advocate for the roofing industry. Advocay issues for 2023 include workforce shortage solutions, focusing on immigration reform, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and funding for Career and Technical Education Perkins State Grants; funding for the Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office; and support for the Main Street Tax Certainty Act.
Roofing contractors are encouraged to bring one or more standout crew members to help share the industry’s story. Registration for Roofing Day in D.C. 2023 is $95 for company representatives and $35 for field workers, students and spouses.

Additionally, National Women in Roofing is hosting a brunch and education/mentoring session for members in the Washington, D.C., metro area and Roofing Day attendees April 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Succotash Restaurant in downtown Washington, D.C. The event will focus on how women can use their unique perspectives to be active in political advocacy, create change in their communities and positively affect their careers. Learn more.
