NRCA issues Action Alert regarding career and technical education

Investments in career and technical education are critical to closing the skills gap and addressing workforce shortages in the roofing industry.

Congress will soon finalize funding levels for fiscal year 2022, including funding for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act state grants that support CTE programs operated at state and local levels. This funding is crucial for high schools, community colleges, small businesses and students who need training to close the skills gap in the current workforce.

NRCA urges all members to reach out to their members of Congress to advocate for a robust funding increase for CTE in fiscal year 2022.
