NRCA's Technical Services is responsible for coordinating and developing NRCA's technical activities and research programs. Directed by NRCA's Technical Operations Committee, which establishes NRCA's technical programs and priorities, Technical Services provides technical support to NRCA members and the roofing industry.
NRCA's technical activities are conducted by seven NRCA technical committees and task forces.

ANSI/SPRI ES-1, "Wind Design Standard for Edge Systems Used with Low Slope Roofing Systems," is a standard addressing the design wind loads and wind resistances testing of edge metal systems, except gutters, used to secure the perimeters of low-slope membrane roof systems.
