Kalkreuth Roofing Charities, a charity organization recently developed by NRCA member Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal, Wheeling, W.Va., held golf events to raise money for Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center in Wheeling.
Kalkreuth Roofing Charities held its annual Kalkreuth Amateur Golf Championship at Oglebay Resort’s Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling July 27 and 28. The event is a premier tournament in the tri-state area and hosted more than 240 golfers.
In addition to the weekend tournament, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal hosted its 5th Annual Kalkreuth Vendor Invitational July 26 to thank the nearly 50 vendor partners who sponsored the Kalkreuth Amateur Golf Championship. This event also took place at the Oglebay Resort’s Speidel Golf Club and was preceded by a welcome dinner July 25.
Proceeds from the events contribute to the company’s annual donation to the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center. The center creates solutions that change the lives of children and adults with disabilities—or other special needs—and their families. Total contributions from the golf events increased by $4,220, and Kalkreuth Roofing Charities was able to donate a total of $31,720 for 2019; it has donated more than $120,000 to Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center during the past eight years.
The initial check presentation to Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center took place July 25 with the two co-title sponsors for the Kalkreuth Amateur Golf Championship—ABC Supply Co. Inc., Beloit, Wis., and Johns Manville, Denver.
“I’m beyond thankful for the continued support of everyone involved with both of these golf events,” said John Kalkreuth, chairman of Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal. “It is because of you that we are able continue this tradition while supporting our community.”
