NRCA members have partnered to form Meta Team LLC, a national, certified women-owned commercial roofing company; Meta Team officially began operations in January.
The partnership includes Candace Klein, president of NRCA member Klein Contracting Corp., Doraville, Ga.; Alicia Michael, a former business owner from the automotive industry; Sherri Miles, president of Miles Roofing Inc., Chesapeake, Va., and vice president of NRCA member J.D. Miles & Sons Inc., Chesapeake; and Kelly Van Winkle, president/CEO of NRCA member King of Texas Roofing Company LP, Grand Prairie.
Meta Team provides more than 230 years of combined experience in the roofing industry and delivers large-scale and complex commercial and industrial roofing solutions via new construction, reroofing, solar, design-build, roof repair, and maintenance. Services currently are offered in 21 states.
Klein, Meta Team’s co-founder and CEO, said: “We are transforming the construction experience for socially conscious clients. In the past, organizations had to work with a multitude of different roofing companies across various regions. Meta Team now offers clients the ability to call one company that can satisfy their procurement goals and roofing needs.”
Recognizing a void in national commercial roofing services available to those working in the supplier diversity space, Meta Team members pooled their collective strengths.

Women owners in commercial roofing represent less than 1% of all commercial roofing companies in the U.S. Meta Team believes working together and sharing resources provides greater benefit to the client.
