NRCA ProCertification® candidates soon will have access to testing centers

Prometric test centers will start reopening for some essential services, including NRCA ProCertification® testing.

In accordance with the changing local and federal governance and advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Prometric has extended the closure of test centers in the U.S. and Canada through May 31, except for limited essential services programs.

All clients have been informed of their essential designation, and the roofing industry is considered essential. Essential services candidates who will be testing in May will begin receiving communications asking to confirm their upcoming appointment in agreement with Prometric’s social distancing policies. If candidates are scheduling a new appointment, they can enter their ZIP code to search for open centers in their area. View more information.

Additionally, NRCA ProCertification® candidates now can take their computer-based exams remotely—in English and Spanish—using Prometric’s ProProctor™ remote testing service.

This new service allows authorized candidates to take their computer-based exams anywhere that meets specific remote-testing requirements—including at home. Candidates must preschedule taking their exams directly with Prometric; view more information about scheduling an exam.

NRCA ProCertification, NRCA’s national certification initiative, aims to create a competent, sustainable and high-performing roofing industry workforce. Experienced installers and foremen who demonstrate substantial roofing skills and knowledge now can become certified by NRCA in specific roof system applications. Learn more!
