The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has postponed the seventh annual National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction, originally scheduled for May 4-8, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event now will be held Sept. 14-18 and will be virtual.
This year, OSHA, CPWR—The Center for Construction Research and Training and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health encourage employers and workers to participate virtually or with social distancing measures on job sites. OSHA, CPWR and NIOSH are working to develop activities and materials to facilitate safe stand-downs, such as videos and webinars that can be viewed from anywhere and easy-to-share infographics.
