In September, NRCA University will offer an OSHA National Safety Stand-Down Week Webinar Series in support of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s annual event.
The three-day webinar series will be held Sept. 15-17 and feature Tom Shanahan, Harry Dietz and Rich Trewyn from NRCA’s enterprise risk management department sharing insight regarding various fall-protection topics.
The series consists of three 30-minute sessions. Topics include ladder use and setup, guardrails, and warning lines and safety monitoring systems Sept. 15, noon-12:30 p.m. CDT; personal fall-arrest systems, including calculated clearance distances, Sept. 16, noon-12:30 p.m. CDT; and rescue techniques and suspension trauma Sept. 17, noon-12:30 p.m. CDT. Additionally, as part of NRCA’s legal webinar series, NRCA will hold Navigating the OSHA Inspection and Citation Process Sept. 18 from noon-1 p.m. CDT. During the one-hour webinar, Trent Cotney, CEO of Cotney Construction Law and NRCA’s general counsel, will address how to identify critical components of workplace safety; improve workplace safety programs; and document employee safety training, among other topics.
