What inspires you about working in the roofing industry? Three NRCA members share their answers.
The first thought that comes to mind regarding what inspires me is the sense of accomplishment seeing a project through from start to finish. Working with clients to make sure they get the end product they want while maintaining a safe environment for our team and the individuals inside the building is inspiring. With every project being different, it is just fun!
Additionally, I love the constant innovation and technological advancements made in the roofing industry. There is always something new to learn and apply to make our jobs easier in the office and in the field.
As one of the few female-owned roofing companies in our industry, my inspiration stems from our remarkable survival and growth, defying the odds in a field where we make up less than 1% of U.S. roofing businesses.
We, with other women venturing into a traditionally male-dominated domain, seize the chance to challenge norms, showcase expertise, and champion diversity and inclusion. Each project we undertake isn’t merely about building roofs; it’s about breaking barriers and reshaping possibilities, particularly for future generations.
Every success we attain is a testament to our resilience and unwavering determination. Although our journey is ongoing, our industry is evolving alongside us, serving as inspiration for current and future generations of women in business.
