Underwriters Laboratories (UL)-Fire Resistance Directory-Volume 1-1996

Abstract
This Directory contains three volumes. Volume 1 contains designs of hori­zontal fire resistive assemblies such as beams, floors and ceilings, and roofs and ceilings. Volume 1 A contains designs of vertical assemblies such as walls and partitions, and columns. The fire resistive assemblies have been tested in accordance with UL's Standard UL 263 (ASTM Standard E 119) entitled "Standard for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials". Volume 1 A also contains designs of columns which have been tested in accordance with UL's Standard ANSI/UL 1709 entitled "Rapid Rise Fire Tests of Protection Materials for Structural Steel". Volume 2 contains descriptions and ratings of joint systems and firestop systems which are intended to prevent the spread of fire through opening between or within fire resistive assemblies. The joint systems are tested in accordance with UL's Standard UL 2079 entitled "Tests for Fire Resistance of Building Joint Systems". The firestop systems are tested in accordance with UL's Standard UL 14 79 (ASTM Standard EB 14) entitled "Fire Tests of Through-Penetration Firestops··.
