Abstract
Many parties, in particular steel deck manufactures, engineers, architects, designers, general contractors, installers, and building owners have a vested interest in protecting the integrity of steel deck to be used as an integral building component. Consequently, all parties seek to minimize the corrosion of steel deck during the manufacturing, shipment, job site storage and installation processes so as to not prevent the deck from performing as specified.
