Asbestos is out but what about substitutes?

Abstract
This paper explores: * the transition from asbestos fiber reinforced portland-cement roofing shingles to cellulose fiber reinforced portland cement roofing shingles, slates, and tiles. * the sad fate of these cellulose-cement shingles, and; * the lessons learned, through the clear eyes of hindsight, on how to minimize these problems in the future.
