Abstract
Pre-seal and post-seal wind resistance of asphalt roofing shingles is discussed. A test method for evaluating pre-seal wind damage is described. Wind tunnel testing results are presented to assist in developing post-seal wind resistance. Residential roofing wind standards and codes are briefly assessed in light of wind tunnel findings.
