Abstract
This paper is based on a research project in which a methodology and test apparatus for evaluating wind induced fatigue of mechanically attached roof cover systems was developed. The test methood is based on membrane stress/strain properties and a proposed standardized load schedule. It is intended as a supplemental test to currently recognized static wind uplift tests. The procedure is compared to several existing wind uplift tests. Several membrane systems were evaluated and preliminary findings are outlined.
